Youngest senior member of the Collective, principal of Sterling & Associates — private equity and crisis restructuring, glass high-rise, financial district — which is Emberwake's legitimate cover and, when required, its weapon: Robert makes predatory operations financially nonviable before anyone notices he's moved. He is three years into a quiet financial war with Vance Consolidated. Vance does not yet know Robert is Emberwake. Robert is aware the advantage is finite.
